domesticity I

that moment untold
and brief and bright

when

with the faintest rustle of a sheet
in the silence of our night,
his legs unfold
and his feet
slowly and stealthily glide
towards mine –

that moment, then, so sweet
when our toes, in a gesture of love’s warmth
and permanence,
finally meet
and serenely entwine.

So, what do you think? I'd love to know. Shall we start a conversation?
